My Reflection: 

I was learning how to write direct speech using speech marks. It was a fun activity and I now know how to use speech marks correctly.

Using repeated addition for multiplicaton

 

 

My reflection 

I was learning how to do multiplication by using repeated addition. I enjoyed doing this activity because

I now know how solve multiplication sums. 

How to make a sandwich

LI: WALT write instructions using imperative verbs.

How to make a sandwich

You will need:

Three pieces of white bread

Chocolate  wizz

Butter knife

Butter

Jam

Marshmallows

1. Cut one of your pieces of your white bread into cat ears.

2. Cut the crust off the bread.

3. Spread some butter on the two pieces of white bread.

4. Spread some jam the same way you spread the butter on.

5. Fold the two pieces of bread together one with the cat ears on it.

6. Make a face on your cat.

7. Place marshmallows on top as eyes and nose.

A Puppet Show

WALT create and perform a puppet show. 

Room 10/11 had a great opportunity to create and perform a puppet show from scratch! They had to write the script, make the stage and props such as a butterfly, a cocoon, a caterpillar and different types of foods. They practised for a few weeks and developed their acting and understanding of stage performance. Take a look at Ruby's group’s performance. (Please click the title above the picture)

The big, fat caterpillar 

Setting description: The lake is like glass and the mountains are so beautiful. The sky is so blue and the sun is bright.  

Narrator: Once upon a time a cute little egg lay on a leaf and out popped a cute little caterpillar. 

Narrator: The little caterpillar started to look for some food. 

Narrator: First she found an ice-cream. It was too sweet and she vomited. 

Narrator: Then she found some candy and then she went so crazy! 

Narrator: She found some veggies and then she ate them. She said “Finally I got something yummy!”

Narrator: Then she was so sleepy she found a tree to make a cocoon. 

Narrator: She stayed in the cocoon for a few months. 

Narrator: After a few months, she popped out of the cocoon and then she was a beautiful butterfly.  

Narrator: She lived happily ever after.
